Found another decent open-box gaming laptop at Best Buy just now. The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus M16 is available for $880 in open-box satisfactory condition. In store only so YMMV (Tested a few random locations: found several available near Boston, 2 in stock around NYC).

Edit: Best Buy updated just now. Open-box excellent is now available for shipping at $933. (They probably don't have too many in stock as usual). Update: Open-box excellent sold out.

tried to buy. need to ship. but alas it would not let me. this is solid deal. unless you want to try eBay and hope you don't get a blown screen or scratches ot whatever.

Best Buy probably only have a few units available for shipping. Whenever they have decent open-box deal available for shipping, it is usually just go out of stock pretty quickly.

Edit: It seems like they are constantly updating the quantity available. For instance, it wasn't available in fair condition earlier near zip code 90001, but now there are 2 available in that area.

The one and only time I bought a open box excellent condition laptop from best buy, it had a nice scratch in middle of screen lol. Return was easy though.

Store 20 miles away from me has it but won't let the pickup go through. Is it worth driving there this morning and checking it or nah?

I would try chatting with the customer service rep online to see if they can place the order for you first. (Just don't call the store because some Best Buy employees may claim no stock and buy it for themselves). If they cannot help you, personally I would say it is not worth the trouble. Best Buy open-box deal pop up all the time, so there is always another chance for something similar or better.

For those interersted, there are some open box - excellent available for shipping in oregon for $933. That is a hot price, would be all over this if I didn't already have a nice gaming laptop.

I don't know exactly how bb open box shipping system works. I think you have to be within certain range of units they mark eligible for shipping. Only way I can think of is if you have a buddy living in the area that can order it for you and then reship. BTW, just checked and shipping open box units are already sold out, but there are 3 available for pick up in Kennewick, Wa for $880
