Btw, in Tizen, you can set it up to use the last used input and when I power on the TV - this way, it automatically switches to Fire TV Cube. I don't have any such option in Sony, fwiw!
For the same price its an easy Samsung decision, for me
For the Hisense U8H price of $300 ish less it could be compelling
For people who think that the burn-in is a real issue, guess what - all the big 3 manufacturers have built in protection for the panel. Read on: https://reviewed.usatod
now I'm wondering if I should wait until the qn90c goes on clearance just so I can get quality and durability next year

I returned 1 S95B 1 S95C back to samsung. S95B was doing crazy buzz noise when it was off and as it turns out its a common issue , S95Cs one connect box was a nightmare, not recognizing appletv / xbox etc. They sent me a replacement one and that ones ethernet port wasn't working. And it was a lot of work packing these TVs and returning them back. I am definitely staying clear of samsung for a while.
I am tempted. This would be an upgrade to my 5 year old Sony 930e in pretty much every way aside from upscaling and motion handling.
I have a 900h and my friend has this, if you watch cable or SDR/low res content he said mine unfortunately looks better kinda pisses him off, movies and HDR content no contest but he watches cable more then movies 🤣
Thanks, I haven't had cable in many years.

Personally I would buy an extended warranty on either of them if I were going that route
It's not apples to apples. They upgrade their bench setup. The U8H was reviewed on an older benchmark. They even said you can't directly compare the reviews based off their bench.
Additionally I look at comments they make such as the their statement about the TCL QM8 versus the Samsung QN90B
"It's also less buggy than the TCL, which is full of strange quirks"
Thought it still retained the picture processing that Sony is known for
One of my local Best Buy stores had one U8H that stated it was an open box online.
I thought what the heck..people have been raving about this Tv and I would take a look
I assumed it would be sitting out where I could play with it and adjust and see what I thought
Well..someone had purchased it , returned it and never even opened it
So it was actually a new in box 65" Hisense U8H for $600...so I bit
Playing with it a little bit...There are some moments of greatness when playing 4K content
However, the Samsung QN90A that I have , has it beat in a couple of areas
The picture processing on the Samsung is better , especially if you are watching lower than 4K resolution content
Flesh tones are not quite there on the Hisense so I am still making adjustments to try to improve that
Playing 4K HDR content it definitely gives the Samsung a run for its money
$600 new in box for Hisense versus $685 open box for the Samsung QN90a 8-9 months ago
