When this item was still $200 I ordered this similar Midea portable AC from Walmart for $264. I liked that the Walmart one has a "Comfort Sense" remote that acts as the unit's thermostat:

I also find Walmart returns to be easier than Amazon. As it turns out I'm keeping the item anyway. At $180 I probably would have gone with the Amazon Midea or Frigidaire (they are likely identical on the inside).

I only got it 2 days ago so no battery changes so far...

But most high end window air conditioners have this feature now and the batteries seem to last for a few years.

Doesn't seem like it is. This picture [cloudfront.net] of the back of the unit does not show any splitting of the hose port. At this price, you're much less likely to get a dual hose setup.

The thing I hate about portables, if you're trying to get rid of the humidly as well as cooling, you need to empty the water every hour or 2 depending on how humid it is. This one is the same.

I wish they had models with a hose so you can empty it out the window, like window units do....
