I think you should go with AM5. The 7600/X has better gaming performance and comparable MT.
Go with AM5.
PSU > GPU (if gaming) > SSD/m.2 > Monitor/KB/Mouse > Case (lower if not gaming) > CPU > Mobo (if not overclocking/maxing performance) > RAM
Good motherboard makes it easier to effectively overclock both your CPU and RAM. Solid VRMs for more effective power consumption, and mobo heatsinks to keep things running cooler. Quality motherboards also have more NVME slots, and features like bifurcation to convert extra PCIE slots into additional NVME.

A cheap, stable, no frills motherboard is all non-enthusiasts need. God knows how many people buy expensive full featured motherboards and then never do anything with them. That's sometimes an extra $150-200 that could have gone towards a future upgrade.
With that said, I amended my ranking to clarify.

Will likely also grab a newer GPU to go along with it.

edit:
40+ upvotes? and the 5700x is currently $10 cheaper.
Here's a comparison of the two CPUs in benchmarks: https://www.cpubenchmar

With pbo and eco mode it stays way cooler and delivers on the gaming front as well
