It's crap but I still want one. 8gb is not okay and that's why I sold mine. Even for chrome browsing and paper writing

This is true. For those who need the larger screen, the M1 isn't an option. But for those on the fence and considering portability, the 13" is going to be somewhat easy to carry and fit on airplane trays and other tight spaces. Most people won't notice the performance differences. That said, the higher display brightness on the M2 and better webcam will be pluses for the newer model.

The 13.6" M2 will be $950 at Costco in 6 days. It has already hit $900 for BestBuy total members, so hope to see $850 this BF. Demand for computers has been tanking, which is resulting in a lot of good deals popping up these days. I don't see that trend slowing down anytime soon. After the craziness of the pandemic, looks like it is turning into a buyer's market again.

I played with this at Apple Store. It's very nice. Couldn't tell much diff between this and the 16" pro.

There needs to be a deal for 16gb, still waiting. Not gonna pay $400 more for an extra 8gb ram.
