The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Is the circular saw 6 1/2 worth it? Or is the 7 1/4 the go to? The 7 1/4 is not included in this promotion.

Also what do you guys use the multi tool for?
I've used the multi tool to cut off corroded bolts to replace a toilet gasket, take out some nails to reconfigure built-in shelving, and remove nails to replace an old window sill. Could also be used to remove grout or tile. Could probably plunge cut drywall. They have sanding pads for them, too.

Does any one have a review of or experience with the compact reciprocating saw?

I'm going with the two 2 amp + two tool deal and think it would be strong match with the 2 amp batteries compared to some of the other cutting tools.
I've had one for a couple of years now. The blade stroke is a little shorter than the traditional style which I also have but haven't used since getting the new one.

I've mostly used it for dead or downed tree branches that are too big for my loppers.. I like the advantage of using one hand for the saw and the other to hold the branch.

Edit: Blade I use is a 9" pruning blade.

$38 for the batteries if you order the grease gun and don't mind doing a return in-store. That's slick, for sure.

I'd personally rather pay $99 and get the batteries and the 3/8" brushless compact impact. Anybody know what the size/weight difference is vs. the brushless compact 1/2"? I could make due with that one if the size is similar. Looking to add to the collection for auto work where the 1/2 doesn't really fit well.

I've been needing a new blower for a while since my Ridgid shop blower has bit the dust.

Can always use new batteries too. This is a great deal for me.

Anybody have the mini chainsaw? I have a telescopic chainsaw from a different manufacturer, and after cutting so many limbs, the chain pops off. I'm just wondering if this thing stays together and you can get through a job without a lot of fixing along the way.
I am getting this! Was waiting for the sale to get this one.

Interesting. How did you pay and are you a Pro member? I've tried HD card and paypal and both no option to cancel individually. Ended up calling before the 45 min was up.
I paid via browser with PayPal and am a Pro member. It has never worked before. Starting to wonder if it's based on location or some sort of product availability. I usually have to do a chat. I kept getting technical errors on the app and couldn't log in to see if it was possible to cancel in the app.

Move on if they're no use to YOU. But these are great tools for DIYers.
Just trying to warn ppl of my experience with Ryobi pal. Move on if my comment doesn't serve you well.

I've got over 50 Ryobi tools. 8 batteries. Had the whole set since 2017. Fully remodeled two homes. Not a single tool has died during any weekend warrior project. Only one 2ah battery died, replaced at year 2 under warranty. They even sent me a 4ah to replace it. Highly recommend.

Find vids comparing Ryobi to other saws. I bought a Ridgid 6 1/2 because it was the most powerful 6 1/2", light and can cut 2x's @ 45*. If the Ryobi 6 1/2" has power than having a lighter, smaller saw are welcomed benefits.

Is there any way of getting a drill and the $99 battery set or do I have to step up to the $199 to get a drill? Just need something cordless for around the house.

I have HD gift card I'm waiting to use on stuff I actually need. All my Ryobi batteries are going 8 years strong zero issues. Only thing off hand I want is the new 18v edger brushless and the jump starter and 1 gallon shop vac

I keep my batteries on my 6 bank charger for most part

Have you tried it with and without HP batteries and notice any difference? I don't have any HP batteries yet...

Do you have the Walmart brand "Hyper Tough" Telescopic Pole Saw?

That depends on how precise and fast you need your cuts to be. I recently got a multitool and while it did some of what I expected, it is slow and imprecise.
Thanks for this. I was going to use it to cut away some rotted siding near the ground so I could put some putty in place, but I thought that I'd rather get a multitool than a saw, so I can also use it to sand down the cuts afterward. I don't know that I'd get enough use out of a saw to justify choosing that over the multitool. I probably don't NEED either, but I could definitely use the batteries and may as well get a free tool.
