Its back in stock, sadly it is up by $50, but I thinks its still a good deal for anyone that couldn't secure any prime deals. This time around it seems $250 for all members and non-members. I saw that the previews deals expires, and that's why I decided to publish this.

you are right, i googled and it says 2.0 supports 10 bit. but what happened to me last night with my LG 4k monitor was that when i use DP, i get 10 bit, when i switch to HDMI that came with the monitor, it only gave me 8 bit with dithering with no option to change it to 10 bit. im not excatly sure why is this happening.

Ah that could be what's happening for me as well. I'll have to investigate. Thanks

did some search, looks like even with hdmi 2.1 at 4k, it could only do 120hz at 10 bit. anything higher than that, would only do 8bit. if you dont have any problem using DP , then i guess just use DP

The LG 34wq60c ultrawide with IPS screen seemed like a better deal at $249 last week. Just had 60hz refresh rate which is fine unless you are primary using for gaming.

How is this monitor for work related purposes? Clear text, etc? I am not a gamer so that is not of importance. I am using a 47" now and it's too big.
I'd get a 4K (3840x2160) IPS monitor if it's just for work. I got in on this last week:

I highly recommend this monitor. Vibrant colors and clear text. Ended up buying a second for work setup.

Yeah I like it so far. Wish it had more display ports and KVM built in but given the deal I got on it after CB, I'll take the trade offs. It'll hold me over until mini LED monitors get here.

Are you mixing up mini with micro?

Hey guys, I bought this monitor on the $200 prime day deal. My intent was to use it mostly for gaming.

Based upon what I'm seeing this monitor uses an older hdmi 2.0 connection which is capped at 4k 60hz I have a gaming laptop (hdmi, mini DisplayPort, and usb-c out) and and an Xbox series x (hdmi).

From what I'm seeing, the only way to get anywhere near the 160hz on this monitor is through a full-size DisplayPort cable?

I'm not too familiar with DisplayPort or monitors in general; but my plan was to use this for at least 120hz gaming so I think I may have made a mistake with this purchase.

Is there something I'm missing? Or should I just sell or return this?

I bought the 120hz Display Port to USB C cable on amazon and use it with my laptop and it works great.

Looks like this is getting decent reviews/comments here. Haven't checked rtings yet.

I didn't realize VA panels could have high refresh rate? I am noticing a 5ms response time, which makes sense considering the 1ms I usually see comes from IPS, but then again, I'm seeing this has a refresh of 160. I thought the trade-off of IPS to VA was that the IPS is gonna have worse contrast/blacks, but typically gets brighter (higher nits) and better refresh timing.

If this is a good model 34" ultrawide to split time between general computer usage/content creation/social media/etc., and also some gaming (EVGA RTX 3080 Ti) then maybe I should pull the trigger on this monitor when it gets close to $200.

Iv'e had my eyes on the 120hz AW3420DW from a few years back. ($400-ish).

Hi. I got this monitor for $200 on Prime day deal. It's pretty good for gaming. Playing Diablo 4/Lost Ark with no screen tearing at 144Hz refresh rate due to running 7900xt gpu. Total gpu board power running around 80W when just browsing at 160Hz. Lowering refresh rate from 160Hz to 144Hz reduces gpu power to 40W. Running dual monitor setup. Second monitor is 24" 1080p. Need to enable HDR in Windows. Cheers.
