too many drawback on this model for the price vs. other deals that had much better. For example:

-only full HD, not QHD.
-others in this price range (when on sale) have been 13th gen I7 instead of 12th gen.
-144 Hz display instead of 240Hz on similarly priced modesl (when on sale).
-ram only DDR4, and only 3200 megahertz, the lenovos at this price (actually $1009, open box excellent) had DD5, 4800 megahz

if it were only one of things, I'd say ok, but it is a bunch of stuff.

I recommend you get touchscreen one time so you can realize you don't really want or need it ..

It has been $999.99 not just once but multiple times. There's no reason to get this at this price especially when you can get the Acer Nitro 16 with a QHD display and 4070 for just $70 more.

Plus, this was $1199.99 a week ago and I'm pretty sure that by next week it's going to come back down to $999.99 once again.

I appreciate you posting all of these deals (even if this one wasn't yours), but the Acer thing… Some of us have had nothing but bad experiences with Acer.

I have this laptop (got it when it was $999) and I love it. I travel for work and use it for office products, CAD, and gaming. I get to my hotel room, crank out some email and documents or drawings, then connect to the hotel TV and fire up Elden Ring in glorious 4K. (The display on this laptop is 1080, but since it's 15.6, you hardly notice.) This thing'll crank out the 4K for you and it's just SO worth it, IMO.
The only thing I wish this had was touchscreen, but that'll be for my next laptop.
I still dont understand why people want thumbprints all over their screen, plus the extra computational power going into the touch screen whether you use it or not. And lets not get me started on the hinges

I've had a touchscreen laptop for over 10 years and in that time span I have used the touch screen about 5 or 6 times. All of those times were to see if I had a touch screen laptop because I can't remember after a year or two of not using it. Smilie

I don't see how this thing is worth close to $1100 based on the specs.

I picked up the steel when it was only a thousand, so far it's been quite worth it. Runs Balders gate full spec at a whisper, and it's power efficient enough to run games on battery without dropping frames (I only found this out because I forgot to plug it in and it died while gaming, I hadn't even realized it)

I also have an Elite G2. Once you start using a touchscreen, you don't want to go back. I often study schematics and drawings, and being able to easily drag and quickly scroll through large drawings or circuits makes a touchscreen near mandatory.
