one thing to note about this is that the screen size is measured diagonally so total screen area grows exponentially...

so you'd think that the difference in size between 83 and 100 would only be ~20.4% bigger, but if you do the actual math, the 100" TV is actually over 45% larger than the 83".

Math:
83" | 72.34" x 40.64" | 2939.9 sq. in.
100" | 87.16" x 48.97" | 4268.23 sq. in.

This will be the new price point for 100" models going forward I suspect. They are finally getting respectable yields from cutting the panels. Now, to convince the wife that the 75" in our living room that's less than a year old needs to be upgraded.

Just checked the weight: 221 lbs. !!!
