It's on Amazon from a 3rd party, so I couldn't post to SD. But the title is:
ROG Strix GA35 RTX 3080 (~ 4070) Liquid Cooled Gaming PC (Ryzen 7, X570, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, WiFi 6, 750W Gold PSU, Keyboard & Mouse) - Best 2023 Prebuilt Gamer Desktop Computer Made_by_ASUS
Case is much better cooled from what I've researched. 32gb RAM. Plus this model comes with a 3 year warranty. Sold from a Asus partner. Same price $999. Pretty stoked to try it. If it has cooling issues, returns until Jan 31st.
Edit: Oh and I signed up for an Amazon Store Credit card and got an instant $100 off. Nice score

Perhaps the older gen CPU, GPU and RAM are dampening this Asus deal despite the relative performance?

I and many othera purchased this during Covid and returned it. The biggest draw back for this PC is its case and lack of proper cooling. The thing would sound like a jet engine even with simple tasks. I first thought that maybe I got a lemon until I read about many other people having the same problem. If you buy this, plan for a better cooling solution.
If cooling is an issue why not do a case swap. Been a while since I shopped for a case but I used to find good deals for $50-$100. But that might void the warranty or whatever or I understand some people don't want to do that when buying a prebuilt.
