This link in german compares the blu ray to the uhd. Looks like it desaturates a bit, but to me UHD looks better and the detail is better. https://blu-ray-rezensionen.net/d...en-4k-uhd/

While most movie studios only claimed "may not be valid after" on the dates listed on digital codes. Warner Bros did a BS move (because they're awful now) in actively pursuing to invalidate codes that hit their printed expiry dates. So only very recent releases (seems like the last 3 years) still come with still active/valid digital codes.
Send them a message that this is practice is BS and don't buy their titles with expired codes.
Be prepared for an inevitable re-release with better scans.

The older original blu ray on fellowship apparently had very greenish saturation that many complained about.
As mentioned before in this thread, 2k scans are likely to be the best we get since there's so much cgi that would have to be completely redone to get a proper 4K. If anyone likely would do it, it's probably Peter Jackson but he's also so involved with upscaling tech I think that's likely the next version if any. Maybe some newer ai assisted upscaling that isn't as aggressive on the dnr but I'm speculating. Regardless I think these are probably the best we get for many years.
But DolbyVision.
real or fake 4k .com was a great resource that somehow disappeared. The only consistent real or fake 4k details are now on the IMDB technical specs section of the movie page
