That is a completely different model and inferior TV. Doesn't even have 4k 120hz.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but I can get the $400 Best Buy 55" version with a geek squad plan in case anything malfunctions. With Walmart it looks like you can get an Allstate warranty but people say it's terrible from what I gather online. Can anyone confirm? If Best Buy/geek squad will refund me or hook me up with a replacement tv in days over Walmart/Allstate dragging their heels and going back and forth with me for over a month then that's a big consideration here.

a 55 in versus a 65 in is a big difference.

That would be my FIRST consideration

IMHO pick U7K from Costco. 646 have poor upscaling as per rtings
The U7 doesnt have wonderful picture processing either

If one is very pick in that regard you need to consider a 9X series Sony TV

You have the 55 in stock near you? You're lucky. It's no longer in stock online and there is none near me. Maybe I should just pull the trigger on this.

Don't care for Google TV. Is it easy to set a default HDMI port on startup for a Roku stick?

This right here, that x90k mpdel from sony was pretty sweet at 800 for a 75 in. Got it running in the bedroom with calibrations.

Did this as well and got a defective screen out of the box. Huge shadow issue on the right side. Returned and went with the Samsung Q90T from WM instead

I read all of these upscaling, processing comments and I wonder, would the average TV watcher notice any of these things? I'm talking about a 40-year-old woman who is currently watching a 10-year-old TV, what would she care about?

How does this TCL compare to the Hisense U6K? I just bought the U6K at a similar price but now I'm wondering if I should have went with this TCL instead based off rtings reviews. I intended to use this tv on a covered patio mostly for sports and the occasional movie night.
