I have a 6 Pro 512g and there is no option above the 128g so my value isn't really a fair value. Wonder if I call that they would be able to value it properly?

The BF and CM deals were objectively bad for this phone so I held off. Google always does this to their buyers by holding greater sales the week or two after their supposed major "sale"
I suggest waiting post Christmas. The P8 is notoriously bad SOC and reviews are confirming aging tensor architecture. The modem issues still exist tbh. I would pick probably s23u this year over P8. The P8 magic of photography exists other than that I don't think it's worth the asking price. Almost all P8 photo magic is done over cloud. this comes from someone who is with Pixel since 2XL and who is in android land since 1.3/Gingerbread

Still junk trade-in on the P7 Pro.
Why do you want to upgrade p7 pro to p8. Seems like p7 pro has better camera?

I want to do it for the face unlock that works in all apps, not just on the unlock screen. Won't do it without a good TIV though

My pixel 7 had the black screen of death. getting a replacement from Google and giving that away for a Christmas present. I'm really liking the OnePlus 10t for half of what I paid for pixel 7. I was looking at Google pixel phones since the 4A was supposed to be released

I upgrade to the newest pixel every year so it's a bit of a habit now.

Feels like they're shooting themselves in the foot. As someone mentioned, the Tensor chips are not competitive and the upgrades around face unlock/ fingerprint, slightly better performance aren't enough pull from other brands' alternatives. I.e. by not offering highly competitive trade in deals for their current Pixel crowd, they'll starve their phone hardware business into a death spiral.
