You will want at least 14" for that purpose.

Same, I'm in for a pack at $4.21 shipped; thanks OP.

I've been using a powered stapler [homedepot.com] plus zip ties to secure outside Christmas lights to great effect. Seems to be better than just using staples as you can cut the zip tie and leave the staple for future application.

That's a good idea. What I do is I use these, but I take one of the nails out. So then I can slip the lights on/off the other side like a hook and they just stay up there

I'm looking for anything under $2 so I can order it and cost Amazon money. Got one of these anyway since I could use the ties. Now that it's a total pain to do returns, buying garbage from Amazon knowing it could be returned easily is ruined. On my tour of destruction while I'm waiting for my current prime membership to lapse.

Wait, what changed with their return policy?

Be warned, these things are garbage. I bought them a couple weeks ago and had to use 6 x 6" ties to get one to hold, not tightened all the way. Thought, ok, I'll use and 8", same. Garbage.

Yeah, that's what I use zip ties for most of the time. Monoprice Cable Tie Mounts [monoprice.com] really work well IMO and they are surprisingly reliable and hold their adhesion.

For outside permanent application I use staples plus zip ties to secure and manage wires; works well for me especially on Christmas lights.
thank you, I will be ordering some of these for cable management at home and the office! repped!

You know you can combine multiple zip ties to make them longer.
I hope I didn't just help you kidnap someone.

As in they weren't locking or they were not strong enough to hold what you wanted?

I use these to toe off my Doaper Genie diaper bags. Saves a lot of bag compared to tying it off. For $0.01/piece it's definitely worth it

You might have helped them adult-nap, since 12" zip ties are too short for most adults, but big enough for kids.

$1 no rush shipping. Ty op
I always just get offered 6% back instead of 5% back now with my Amazon Chase card. I'd rather have the $1 no rush in most cases than the 1% more back.

doesn't seem like thats a good way to do it. why not buy nice things you can enjoy, exploit the holiday return policy and return. the heavier the better. that would cost more money than buying dollar store items
