Better black than the Hisense. I also liked the color better than the Hisense The only problem I have with the QM8 is that colors look off when using the TV without the Apple TV or Firestick.
So if you are not using an external source I would definitely go with the Hisense. But if you can afford the extra $$ the LG. C3 is definitely the better option.
The LG OLED C3 is even better than the Hisense U8K in a bright room with constant sun?
I will also be using it hooked to a pc for gaming but mostly will just watch tv and movies on the fire cube. Leaning toward the Hisense U8K. Maybe I need to go look at them at Best Buy to finally make a decision before Christmas. I'm replacing this old LG 65" from 5 years ago low end that I got for like $650 so either of them is going to be a huge improvement.

The default Dolby Vision settings on the QM8 appear to be unusable (from my own experience and other posts I've read). I ended up switching my sources to HDR10 to disable DV. I finally figured out how to lower the black level for Dolby Vision but I'm still experimenting if there's an acceptable level that produces real blacks without making everything too dark. For whatever reason, with the default DV settings, my QM8 has a dirty, washed out background effect with gray blacks. If I was within the return period when I figured that out, I probably would have returned it. I may still ask TCL if this is normal or if I just have a bad set, but for now, I've figured out the workaround.

I know it's a TCL, sorry I was comparing the 3 TVs LG C3 QM8 and Hisense U8. Read the comment again. I'm comparing the QM8 to the Hisense U8 in both color and black levels.

Deep blacks, nice colors, fast response. No uniformity issues. Very happy.
