Mazda is having a hard time moving inventory. I bought a new CX-5 Signature at the peak of the pandemic shortages with 0.9% financing and $1000 below MSRP.

I absolutely love the car. As absurd and silly as this sounds, it's far more Cayenne than RAV-4. My only complaint is that gas mileage is mediocre to poor.

One thing i've learned in life is, once you make a large purchase, like a house or car, etc. Just stop looking and researching, you'll only be disappointed

Not a "deal." Not "slick." About what this Mazda should be selling for. Can get a 2024 Corolla Cross or RAV-4 in the same range, with better mileage, and the rock solid dependability of Toyota. Hell, the RAV-4 is even LESS expensive.

But I guess if someone is just jonesing for a Mazda, this could be a deal for that guy.

$38k..I rather add a few grand and buy a Model Y.
Right now you can get a Y with the $7500 federal tax rebate for very close to this price...
The Y is a lot more car than the CX-5, which is still a great car but getting old in its current cycle.

CX-5 is not being replaced by CX-50. Go to the Mazda USA website you can see both still have 2024 model
The Cx5 is Mazdas best selling model; I doubt it would be replaced. More likely to have a redesign incoming. I bought one in May I really like it besides having no touch screen.

$31,325 was the dealer price. I didn't qualify for any additional incentives. I did receive a few options (all-weather mats, black lug nuts/wheel locks, license plate frame) for no additional charge.
You got a carbon edition for 31k out the door?

What are the significant differences between the CX-5 and the CX-50, except for the third row of seats?
Cx-50 doesn't have third row

I'm kinda in the same boat. Mazda is a better car for sure.

people who live in cold climate area without garages and don't want their car frozen during the winter snow lol
Range on a tesla isn't really reduced that much. Plus, even in an emergency situation where you don't have charge, there are superchargers everywhere.

That only gets you a standard range no options rwd model 3 car. Its about as apples to oranges as you can get.

Plus i looked into it, the $1000 a year in ""gas" i save on the model 3 is eaten up by the extra $100 a month insurance in my area combined with the $300 a year in dmv fees to "pay for the road".
A Tesla isn't even comparable to a Mazda. Why do you need 4wd? A Tesla is one of the safest vehicles on the road, RWD included.

Lol, someone who can't charge at home. EVs are great if your use case works for them. Your religious fervor for marketing is funny though.
Even if you can't charge at home, there's offpeak charging at superchargers that's very reasonable and cheaper than gas in almost all cases.
