I picked this TV up a couple weeks back. Excellent blacks and colors. Football and basketball both look great as does Nintendo Switch (I know, not exactly the pinnacle of video game graphics). Love the picture.
nope you'd have to buy the geeksquad warranty which is worth every penny imo. if you do get burn-in within the geeksquad warranty period, they send someone to your home and check for the burn-in and give you your money back no questions asked, they don't waste your time if something does go wrong.
60fps still looks very smooth in gaming. Only time I wouldn't recommend it is if you were coming from a 120hz screen already. But personally coming from a 60hz TCL, I'd upgrade to this OLED TV over a non-OLED 120hZ.

I'm looking to purchase a bedroom TV and will also allow my son to play his PS5 on it.

Other than the size, can you tell me if there is any real difference between this front page deal and the following?

https://www.costco.com/lg-43%22-c...53836.html

I would prefer the 43" as it's smaller but if it's limited in the spec department ill just find a way to fit the 48". I'm not too good with TV's so any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated!

It's the cheapest OLED display even though it's an entry line. They gave me a 10% refund on mine so $499

Any of these TVs have the NextGen tuner? It would be great to pick up 4K broadcast TV.
LG does not seem to be keen on supporting NextGen. Some of their earlier G series included the tuner. I think they stopped now.

The brands supporting ATSC 3.0 are Sony, HiSense. I am not sure about Samsung.

Can anyone recommend some stand legs or vesa stand for under $50? My current corner TV stand is 2 inches too short […].
Yeah I had the same issue 5 years ago when I bought a 65" TCL, my stand was just a tad too narrow for the very wide feet.

I bought this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KW560AG/

And was really happy with it. I like the swivel feature for being able to get to the back of the TV on occasion. Doesn't look like it is still available but there are many others that are like it.

For me, it's the opposite. 60FPS felt smooth on my LCD monitor, but doesn't feel as smooth on my OLED TV. The faster response times make each frame look more distinct instead of blurring from one frame to the next.
For the most part, I'd rather run a game at 120Hz 1440p than at 60Hz 4K. When in motion, 1440p 120 FPS looks clearer than 4K 60Hz.
Agreed, I think 1440p (with higher refresh) has been kind of the sweet spot for gaming for quite some time. Doesn't require as insane of a video card that 4k does especially if one is targeting 100+ FPS. So I've been gaming on an 1440p 144hz IPS monitor for years.

With that said, when I go sit in front of the TV and game at 1080p 60 hz I don't feel like I'm missing too much, especially for single player games like the Uncharted series, etc. that may not be quite as intense as an online multiplayer first person shooter.

The 43" is a crappy LCD TV. No comparison to the OLED. The LG is WAY better.

OLED TV technology has some advantages and disadvantages over traditional LCD/LED TV's. The main advantage is that it will have a far superior image quality over LCD TVs - except if you go for the most expensive LCD TVs which narrow the gap but never quite get there. They are also far thinner. Main theoretical disadvantage is that OLED TVs cannot get as bright as LED TV's so may be worse if used in a brightly lit room or in a room opposite windows with light streaming in. The cheaper LED TVs may have the same problem though depending on how bright they can get. The other theoretical risk of OLEDs is burn-in that happens if the same image is continuously displayed for hours at a time at the same spot (like a TV station logo or the scrolling news bar). LG has taken steps to minimize it in newer models though.
