Apple needs to stop doing this 8gb model. I hope they at least go to 12gb 512gb as the new base.

With the M3 model slated to be released in March I'm personally going to hold off, even though I'm VERY tempted. The 8GB RAM and slow 256GB SSD is also holding me back...

I was going to hold off but ended up picking up the 13" 8GB/512GB at Costco and it's great. Was leery about the 8GB but so far so good.

I got this at $1049 about a month ago. It's beyond awesome. The screen is huge and the machine is thin.

I'm not doing hardcore gaming or anything like that with it. General computing, some office apps. Great for that kind of stuff.

Man…. You guys should check out Micro Center if you have them near you. I just picked up a 2021 MBP 14" M1Pro 16GB/1TB for $1,200 refurbished. Had only 4 cycles, 5 hrs SSD on time, and 300GB written to drive.

So much packed in for couple hundred more than this deal. Then the folks on here saying 8GB/256GB isn't enough wouldn't have to worry!
