Doesn't the 4070 blow the 4060 out of the water? Seems like it's worth the extra money?

Exactly! I bought this a few weeks ago for the same price, spend another $100 on a RAM upgrade (it accepts 64GB fyi twice that of stated specs) and I use it for 3D sculpting so the 4070 matters for me. Excellent deal and a powerhouse so far 😎
I have the ram for it already and a 4 TB NVME. My cost for a 3 year warranty w/ accidental damage is $50 thru my vendor. I'm also tax exempt as a reseller so it's a "demo" as I will sell it eventually.

Stay away from this one and Asus in general. The touchpad failed on mine after a few weeks, and Asus warranty service is abysmal.

What happened? Is it hard to make the warranty valid? Mine is having issues with the display after a month..

I wonder what would be a good reliable company and model to buy

Even though it has 4060, this seems a better deal https://www.newegg.com/obsidian-b...6834360269 [newegg.com]
1. better cpu (not only faster, but way more efficient too)
2. 4070 is only 8-10% faster (same amount of vram)
3. better screen panel in every single aspect.
4. the benefits of using the much powerful integrated graphics.

This one looks good too, at least it doesn't have the shitty 45% ntsc screen panel.
I hear what you're saying, but.. 4060, 512TB SSD (vs 1GB), higher price.. though sell on here. At least the 4060 also has 8GB VRAM, which is great!

Touchpad goes wonky on my Acer work laptop to the point of reboot or uninstall/reinstall driver. At some point it will be a htpc operated largely by wireless kb so at that point idc.

Just curious. Which games are CPU-limited these days? I'm not a huge gamer, but I'll keep a performance monitor on my secondary screen, and my CPU chart never seems to go above 40% (Ryzen 7 6800H). I do regularly see the GPU chart get pegged, though. I pretty much just play DRG (not terribly resource-intensive) and Baldur's Gate 3 (@4K) at the moment.

I suspect that a 12th-gen i7 will be more than adequate for any game you throw at it.
These days, AMD CPUs are clearly better in terms of efficiency. Basically the same level of performance for about half the wattage.

It's not just the touchpad. The keyboard often doesn't recognize more than two keys at a time (depending on the keys)

Isn't this a repost? Cause I definitely bought this last week and arrives tomorrow
This is what I'm saying. BB keeps yoyoing the price and it gets posted like it's slick, but it's basically regular price now

Duplicate posting. The $749 4060 version of this model makes it look like bad value. Regardless of the relative performance, I'd wait to see if the 4060 version comes back into stock.
Actually the 4070 is way more vram and in this case I think it is worth the price.

You are thinking of the desktop version 4070. The laptop version is basically the 4060 ti 8gb. Same VRAM as 4060 laptop.

Does it come with two sticks of 8gb?
Did you get two 32gb ram?
