Costco (in warehouse only) has this Extreme 50 FT AWG 12/3 SJEOOW extension cord for sale now - $39.99.

Best flexible extension cord (basically the US Wire brand, made in the USA), SJEOOW. If you just want a cheap (lower quality, less flexible) extension cord, this is NOT for you. There are plenty of cheap SJTW cords out there.

SJEOOW indicates:
SJ - Service Junior rated at 300 VAC
E - Thermoplastic Elastomer
OO - Oil-resistant insulation and outer jacket
W - Weather-resistant for outdoor use

Here is the lighted end.
It is generally recommended to use one long extension cord instead of daisy chaining two shorter extension cords. Your cords are SJTW cords, which could be stiffer in really cold weather.

Good for RV pluggin?
Not likely.. Most RVs call for a 30 or 50 amp plug @ 120v this plug type only is good up to 20amp (i'd stop at 15 personally).

Unless you mean FROM the RV to like stuff outside ( lights etc ) , if that's the case it's fine.

Costco has the worst website compared to many other e-commerce websites. They should really fix their searches, results, and how things are listed in general.

Costco extension cables are notorious for premature failures. First, molded plug & socket will separate from cable jackets within few months in the shelf storage. This probably is a reason why Costco puts them in the clearance bin (price marked as x 97). Once cable separation is fixed, then user will notice failures in the plug and socket itself. They not cheap to replace, once cables are dissambled, one wii see why it fails so quick. Contacts are made out of ultra cheap useless aluminum in lieu of cooper or brass as it should be, home depot's or DollarTree's 0.99 cents extension cord are made with usable materials.
We used buy an extension cable, one for one's lifetime. Costco is so much controlled by Wall Street junkies Black Rock and etc. it's becoming a disgrace for all Americans who used to be proud of buying good old American products.

I can't speak to the quality of the plugs as I've never used a costco cord but in my experience the plugs are the cheap part to replace. If the jacketing and conductors are good, chop the stock ends off when they fail and put good ones on, they're like $2 and all you need is a flathead and some strippers (or scissors/snippers if you are in a pinch.)

Hm, I just bought a pack of 2x 30ft 12/3 outdoor extension cords (the yellow ones) for $30 at our local Costco. This doesn't seem like a particularly killer deal?

This one comes on a reel with outlets for 60. Doesn't fit the same exact use cases as this deal. https://www.costco.com/.product.1...ue&nf=true

The difference is explained in the OP!
To be fair, the Slickdeals site "promoting" the deal hides the OP behind a pull-down, so you only see the OP on the main site if you click the pull-down that says "View Original Post", or further down click "View Forum Thread", to get the actual SD forum, not the thing that looks like a forum.

I have NO idea why Slickdeals is structured like this, sigh...

EDIT: And when I view with browser on my mobile phone, there is no way to view the OP at all in the two places I mention above. Only because the 2nd reply (3rd poster) quoted the OP, you can see the contents of OP in the 3rd post. All because SD "promoted" the deal/thread....

people saying 2x30ft is better probably also prefer to buy 2 motorcycles instead of a car, you get 4 wheels for much less Big Grin

No. If you're lucky to have a Lowe's near that has them, and at $50 or $24, that is the better deal. And product. I don't have such luck so I'm heading to Costco in a bit
