I bought two of these for my kids on Xmas deals. Great laptop! 2x SODIMM slots, 2x NVMe 2280 slots. Stock SSD is a 2240. No thermal issues at all, not an ultrabook. The 7840 reputation tracks, this is a great platform. Debating selling my Omen 16 i7 gen 12/3070.

Another fact: these can charge from Lenovo yellow tip OR USB-C! That's super uncommon at this price point. I've used 10 year old 140w T540 PSUs while gaming, no sweat. I've also charged from a 100W USB-C brick and a 100W battery bank over USB-C. Excellent versatility here!

Very tempted. I'd rather have a 4060 but the 4050 would probably still be a good step up from my 1660ti laptop, but hard to find direct comparisons, especially because the GTX cards didn't do RT or DLSS.

Even with these extra it's still probably one of the lowest 4050 machines with a bright screen:
$27-ish for another 8gb of ddr-5 5600 (Crucial, Amazon)
$55 for a 1tb m.2 nvme drive

I guess the next best deal is the Acer Helios Neo 16 refurb for $690

Clicked the open box link, saw the $552 price for about 2 seconds then it updated to $651. Sad day for me.

Not all of us are getting that price. I also know many hate the screen but I think it's worth overlooking at this price.

Great deal! For those that missed it, check back daily as the price randomly will drop down to $553. I've noticed this with other Best Buy items. Used prices fluctuating probably due to inventory

My omen is 2560x1440 @ 165hz and the LOQ is 1920x1080 @ 144hz. I've been playing Halo Infinite with my son, which isn't a brand new title, and they're comparable. The Omen puts out a lot more heat but.. it does get it out Smilie

That doesn't really answer my question, but thank you for the response.

You're contradicting yourself. You previously said they're comparable - but now you say they're significantly different platforms. Which is weird to say, when they're both windows gaming laptops. It's not rocket science to explain why you'd consider selling the legion and keeping one of these nor explaining how they perform in comparison.

Let me give you an example:

"In my experience, the Omen can run GAME X on Ultra settings at 1440p at X FPS with DLSS on. The LOQ can run GAME X on Ultra settings at 1080p at X FPS with DLSS on. So it's FASTER/SLOWER/SAME."

I really didn't think I was asking a difficult question.
