I bought two of these for my kids on Xmas deals. Great laptop! 2x SODIMM slots, 2x NVMe 2280 slots. Stock SSD is a 2240. No thermal issues at all, not an ultrabook. The 7840 reputation tracks, this is a great platform. Debating selling my Omen 16 i7 gen 12/3070.

Another fact: these can charge from Lenovo yellow tip OR USB-C! That's super uncommon at this price point. I've used 10 year old 140w T540 PSUs while gaming, no sweat. I've also charged from a 100W USB-C brick and a 100W battery bank over USB-C. Excellent versatility here!

Grabbed one at the lower price. Swapped out SSD. Performance was horrible. After researching got the Lenovo app changed the fans to gaming mode. Updated the BIOS through their app. Much, much better. I also have a ryzen 5 with a 3050ti and it's just about the same gaming. The DDR 5 is nice and makes startup and response snappy. Maxing out the RAM next. I completely understand why these are returned. OOB they can be horrible. After BIOS update most issues solved. If the RAM upgrade goes as anticipated I'll pass the 3050ti to my son.
