Do you guys know what this does? And does it tie with the posted system?

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/comp...Id=6367126

Will it allow me to put my Tmo sim and have compustar start access to my car? Or this is some compustar subscription type thing?

Trying to see options to offset that $80 a year Toyota charges for remote start

Are these systems able to be configured Correctly for a manual BMW 335xi
The "comfort access" gave up, and have not found anyone that can repair it locally.

You can't put your own sim, I believe. You will have to signup for Compustar's subscription to remotely start your car from your phone (and remotely monitor your car). Long term subscriptions are considerably cheaper per month than the shorter term ones.

Thanks… I'm sure it has its market but for now I don't see it offsetting Toyota remote plan based on pricing

If they had a module that allowed unlocked sim to be used and become the eufy of remote start, I would be on board

But $86 a year with Toyota with built in gps tracking is hard to beat

How does this compare to other brands? I know there's viper and one other brand. I have a Viper that is a parasitic battery drain. I can't go a week without driving before the battery dies; less in cold weather.
I've had one for about two years now. No issues, works every time, love it!

Haven't had any problems in my '12 Tundra and it's been 3-4 years.

I had this installed in my older Highlander a few months ago. It works perfectly. The range is great. I love the 2-way communication that tells me the car started successfully. I like the flashing light on the windshield because it may deter thieves.
Be aware, it takes them about 3 hours to install it. I showed up thinking I could just shop around while I waited. 3 hours is too long to just hang around at Best Buy. lol

Dang $299?! Glad I picked mine up for $220 in October before the cold. All-time low for it FYI.

Great system btw!

You should be able to start your RAV with the keyfob. Press "Lock", "Lock" and the hold down "Lock" for a few seconds; the lights will flash and it will start.
Did you meant able to remotely restart with the Toyota OEM key fob that came with the car? Ideally, I would not want to carry the keyfob that comes with compustar at all.

Any idea how to update map of toyota rav4 2019? I did not renew toyota connected services subscription after initial 3 year and the map reset to the date when the car was purchased in 2019.

I have had both the Viper and this one. They both drain the battery.
If you don't drive for weeks at a time then you shouldn't need a remote starter.

I've never had my battery drain from the starter even after not using the car for a few days.

ONLY IF YOU HAVE A KEYFOB and not push to start. They can program your KEYFOB . You just have to tell them when they install it.

So you don't get the 3,000 ft range.

It's good for someone who just wants to start their car from inside the house.

HOWEVER, It will only start the car from as far as you can unlock the car with the key fob.

So I don't understand your comment. If you need it and you say it drains the battery after a week then just remote start the ones you don't use every few days.
