Now available! Model number is WM6998HBA

This is is LG's equivalent of the all-in-one GE combo washer and heat pump dryer. Like the GE-branded (Haier) unit, it only requires a 120V connection and is ventless.

$1699.01 via the LG Partner Portal. You may have an additional utility rebate depending on your location. Free install and and it's $25 for haul away or removal of your old unit(s).

I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine
Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.
I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

We bought 2 of these, 1 of them has worked flawlessly right out of the box since day 1 and the other one wouldn't dry sometimes and kept getting stuck indefinitely showing 4 minutes remaining dry time but never actually drying.

I called for warranty service but they were scheduling 1 month out so I decided to research and try some stuff.

Long story short, on the one that was working fine the drain hose was routed like a "N" and the one that wasn't working the drain hose was routed like an "S", I rerouted the drain hose so that they are both "N" and now both machines are working exactly as expected. I couldn't believe something so simple worked but we've ran a dozen loads without issues.
Can you post a picture? I think mime is like an "r". It works 90% of the time just fine. But about once a week it'll keep saying 4 more minutes or whatever to eternity until we shut it off.

I sent a suggestion through the app to have set dry time like every other dryer in this universe. Too much emphasis on efficiency and the moisture sensor if you ask me.

It's hard to get a good picture of the drain route from the back but hopefully this crude drawing will help. We've ran 15-20 loads since I made this simple change and have not had any problems. I'm still a little dumbfounded that this seems to have fixed the problem....

I also have the N shaped hose set up by coincidence and haven't had issues. Definitely something interesting with the drain hose set up. Here's another thread about the drain hose question. https://www.reddit.com/r/Appliances/s/Ed1JUmL6qZ

After over 2 months of use I am noticing a lot of lint build up around the deep inner parts of the seal between the rubber gasket and steel drum. Is this reason for concern lint is getting inside the machine, and any recommendations how to prevent this? I am having a hard time cleaning it as it is stuck almost like it's been glued on.

I tried changing drain hose routing to "N" shape. No difference...it still randomly goes into infinite dry cycles even tho the contents are dry, heating the area up considerably. To the post above, I have the same issues with lint and find myself cleaning it weekly to avoid buildup. You might try a clean cycle, or a hot wash / steam and try wiping it before it dries.

"N" routing the hose didn't help mine either.
