like you can still use for remote start with the 3000' range on the FOB without the need to buy the sub. Phone app and LTE needs sub to work though, if I'm reading this right. I'm never that far away from my truck so looks like this would work out great. Sub can be added later for LTE use.

oem keyfob needs to be in vehicle while driving. compustar remote is just for extra range. depending on the car it may be possible to program factory keyfob to remote start the car with LOCK+LOCK+LOCK or LOCK+UNLOCK+LOCK

Looks easy-ish to do a self install but online it looks like people complain about not having their high beam work....


There is also something in the video where they do infact splice a wire in, what is that for? And it looks like its using the factory remote to start?

well we charge 260$ for cars that start with a key as we dont use the unit that this ad is for. We use these units on new cars that are push to start, We charge 350$ for that and those come with normal remotes. The drone addon is additional 125$. The deal you getting 250$ worth of additions on a 350$ install. So it was a great deal and the original price of 650$ is close to what we would charge. My cost of what they were offering would be about the discounted price.

I'm assuming you have to depress the clutch pedal to start, so probably not. You could bypass the safety switch, but that would be… wait for it… unsafe.

Mpc company on Amazon for toyota cars allows for remote start from factory, remotes, i.e. rear window down and other tower features that are built into non-remote start vehicles

Looking at the details of this MPC and the Start-X, it seems like its the same item just repackaged......and reading online its most likely all made by a company called Fortin. Sounds like no difference, i dont see the window thing that you noted here on the pages.

mpc allows you to use factory remotes for cars like tundra and 4runner that have rear window in the tail gate for those cars not if there is more might be 3 clicks of factory remote or LTE add on remote start , unlock and lock timed start and they say DIY sort of I had mine installed works great,
