It'll extend your return period from 15 days to 60 for peace of mind in case the U8K comes back on sale or if you decide you just don't like it. You can cancel the membership within 60 days of purchasing it for a full refund.

They're offering free installation/wall mounting for these. Imagine that is useful w/ a TV this big!

It doesn't do well with 1080p sources? That would make cable and most streaming sports a no go. Seems odd since the upscaler on the pentatonic chip is supposed to be fairly decent. What sources did you use?
SD/HD looks bad on any 4K tv from up close. With a 100" screen, it's going to be even worse unless one is sitting pretty far back.

1080 doesn't look bad per say it's just not great since we're used to 4K HDR, etc. 720 and under definitely looks 💩 though.

Received the Hisense. Within an hour I started to have intermittent screen flashing. Now it is a complete dumpster fire. Very disappointing.

Time to start with the replacement/return process and hope for better. From looking at the current reviews, I am not the only one having issues apparently!
Did you try a factory reset? I'm assuming that the firmware got updaed during the setup process like with most TVs.

There should be a reset pin-hole button between HDMI2 and HDMI3. Try putting a paper clip or something in there and press it for 5 seconds (if you haven't tried this already)

Already attempted reset. Going to let it sit for the night, tired of fighting with it.

I'll be sitting 12 feet away. My 85 inch X90L does fairly well. But the XR Clear is way overhyped by reviewers. It doesn't turn water into wine.

I posted two pics on page 30. It's 29 inches from the bottom edge of the TV to the floor. The mount tilts (super easily which is nice, my old cheapo mounts I'd have to tighten it and not be able to freely tilt whenever) so I have it tilted downward a little.
Ngl, Looks kinda perfect! I must be off on my heights. Almost same wall and everything w/a nest lol, so very helpful! Curious what mount you picked up? All mine are the ones with a lot of options I never use bc they're such a pain to adjust/tighten, like you said. Definitely want to go back to regular flat back and tilt only.

Insane that SD has the same thread for two different TV's. Makes no sense and creates confusing commentary.
Especially when people post about getting/mounting/having THIS tv and don't specify which one.

For what it's worth from some random Slickdealer, I think the height where you mounted it looks good. I got some painters tape so I could square off the dimensions, trying to decide if 100 inch TV is gonna be too big (if that's possible) and I decided from floor to bottom of tv for me was around 31-32 inches or so.... I just know I always go into someones house and wonder why they have the tv so damn high. To each their own I guess.

Sanus VXT7 from Office Depot. It is just tilt however- didn't want to have it any further from the wall than it needs to be since you see behind the tv almost when walking up my stairs. Also, it's one of the few mounts that worked for me since I needed to span 3 studs spaced 24 inches apart so the mount needed to be 50+ inches long.

Just want tilt, so That sounds perfect, Ty! Im heading to new place this weekend to measure & check studs, was worried about the spacing, but this looks to make it a non issue.

Edit* Looks like I won't be able to get mount as it's earliest delivery date is after installation. Best Buy has it for 249😳, will try and get a PM, but unsure if they will. They do have another for 149, but I don't believe it's as wide (depends if that's an issue.) Believe it's the correct VESA..I think.
