Red pocket is running a deal on all iPhones.

$300 off the phone for agreeing to have your device locked for 1 year to a red pocket GSMA plan.

$100 instant rebate
$200 gift card after completing 3 months of auto pay. (This is technically once your fourth month gets charged, that's when you can now go to using annual plan after 4th month.)

https://www.redpocket.com/shop

Deal works for new and existing users. They didn't charge tax for iPhone (so that's additional savings, shhhh), although they did charge tax/fees for service plan that you pick.

** 12-month device lock. $100 discount instantly + $200 rebate with 3 months of AutoPay on qualifying plans starting at $20/month on our GSMA network. Available for both new customers & existing customers on a qualifying plan. Offer cannot be combined with other promos. Limited stock.**

Rebate Offer Details

$200 Rebate after 3 consecutive recurring payments on any monthly GSMA unlimited plan, starting at $20/mo. $200 rebate currently applies on any carrier locked iPhone model.

Valid for new and existing customers. Existing customers must have a qualifying plan.

Only one rebate is valid per line, per year. https://www.redpocket.com/rebate

It's less expensive to buy the phone full price and use a less expensive mvno. Red pocket service is trash as well.

These red pocket deals never seem to be good unless you actually want to be on their service. 3 months of service for the gift card and a year of service to unlock. I'd much rather look for a deal on one of the Verizon MVNOs where the phone will auto-unlock after 60 days with only the initial month of service. Even better if you can activate it on tracfone for the cheapest month of service.

Joined redpocket a year ago to get a phone deal. After a few months with port in issue, their customer services have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I immediately regreted the decision but had to stick for 1 year to have it unlock.
1 year passed and just right after I requested the phone to be unlocked, they unlocked and cut me off before I got a chance to find a new carrier.
Never going back

I've been a Red Pocket customer for a few years and have no complaints. I once had a port in problem that they handled easily and quickly.

I don't think it works for a Verizon proper iPhone but for the MVNO's like Tracfone, Straight Talk or Simple Mobile it will. That's part of why the Straight talk iPhone SE deal at over the holidays was so popular. It was $50 for the phone and 30 or 40 for the month of service and the phone auto unlocked after 60 days. So net less than 100 for a current unlocked iPhone after 60 days. I did it on an iPhone 11 for my wife. At 60 days it unlocked and is being used on T-mobile now.

I as some talk that they were trying to get the same requirement added to the Mint purchase by T-mobile.

Current Red Pocket customer. No issues, but have only been on 6 months. Curious as to what makes them a bad MVNO? Also if there's a better option with discounted phones, what would it be?

What do you mean they "cut you off"? Did they cancel your service?
