I didn't say I bought 3 of these.

I was referring to buying 3 smartphones and not being able to buy more online.

Sheesh. What is your problem????

The only downside is the software update. I dont think moto is going to push another android version upgrade on this one.

Samsung also available. I'd rather get a Samsung than a Motorola. The latter don't build Android properly, use stale Android branches and don't support their devices for long at all.
It gets one system update, A14, and security updates until June 2026. Good enough for $40.
I like Samsungs that use QC processors, e.g. A23. otherwise I'll pass.

... I also bought the Samsung A15 5G to see if it can contend to be my backup phone. It can't.

Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 > OnePlus Nord N30 > Samsung A15 5G.

My opinion. You can disagree without pissing all over yourself.
good summary. agree.

I also bought the Samsung A15 5G to see if it can contend to be my backup phone. It can't. (although a15 can use on TMobile post paid (my main line) from day 1...its only advantage)

have a moto unlocking in ~2.5 weeks

have a s23fe UL in ~2.5 months

dont have n30 (probably never will wit the price at 50)

currently using ip13.(hate apple so...)
will switch to moto when it UL as DD
will switch to 23fe when it UL as DD

also try to limit wear on DD and use the BU for non essential tasks

Does the $40 plan permit ANY hotspot usage? It seems to get not even low speed (like 512Kbps) when put in hotspot ..

There's so much in the wiki that's worth reading, even if you find the sim.
Check everywhere no sim card and I don't want to go to the metro store so they can upsell my stuff. I hate it.

Bought this phone about 6 months ago from Metro. I believe it was roughly $60 at the time instead of $40. I had a Nord N30 from Metro that I was planning on using as my backup phone for my Tracfone account once it unlocked. After I received the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 and compared it with Nord N30, I realized that the Moto was far snappier than the N30. However, when checking the IMEI on Verizon's website, it showed that the Moto was not compatible on its network. However, that changed about 2 months ago. When entering the IMEI information on Verizon's BYOD website, it showed that the Moto was compatible.

My Moto unlocked today. Exactly 180 days. I didn't even have to request an unlock, it did so on its own. I put in a new Tracfone sim as was able to activate it seamlessly on Tracfone. I am very happy with the phone. The two dings are the short Android support and lack of Amoled screen. These do not bother me so much. First, this is my backup phone. I use it to play games and read the news so I don't have to put wear and tear on my flagship device I use as my daily driver. I don't have any financial or critical apps installed so it doesn't matter if it gets hacked. With respect to the LED screen, it is the best looking and brightest LED screen I have used. I also bought the Samsung A15 5G to see if it can contend to be my backup phone. It can't.

Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 > OnePlus Nord N30 > Samsung A15 5G.

My opinion. You can disagree without pissing all over yourself.
I'm done with the Motos with their dull screens like this 2023 Stylus at 550 nits vs 800 nits on the A15 Samsung. The A15 has the much better Amoled screen of the vs the IPS screen of the Moto, A15 with a better camera, A15 with 4 years of support, Moto has no Gorilla Glass protection vs A15 with DragonTail Pro screen protection. The $49.00 Samsung A54 is a nice step up from the both. The A54 is available on Metro and Cricket at $49.99. I like it almost as much as my Pixel 6a.

As you can see, it's very hard to buy even 1 phone, lol.

Your name and info would be flagged for fraud in no time anyway.
?
it was pretty easy for me to buy it, and i see people bought as many as 4 in the last year.
obviously i was joking about buying 200 of them, but even so, why would it be flagged as fraud as long as you buying a 40 dollar plan with it?

What is the point of having this instead of A54 or waiting for A55 for an extra $50 (future time machine prediction)?

I mean, the Samsung A series provides more updates, better Knox security, etc.
