You and me. I even have a amd 7700 processor just sitting there - I've got a problem
any help would be appreciated. I don't care about graphics. I care about plex transcoding and I think the integrated graphics would be fine.

I'm looking for either an extremely good deal on CPU/mobo/RAM combo, or hold out for for the new product line.
While its true that next gen coming later this year will have more performance, better efficiency, better iGPU, NPU, etc. It will require a new motherboard, and you'll be paying MSRP for both CPU and Mobo, so it will be vastly more expensive.
