Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

So how many Metro will let you buy?

I bought the razr because I needed eSim for travel.
- My other phone is S21FE - I like it - good size etc but no eSim. I like its fold able. Goes into your (pant's) pocket like a wallet and it will be secure!
- Wondering if I should get S23 FE - it has eSIM, cheap at $49 and Android updates for a while!

Which one(s) should I keep?
Good luck to get $49 S23 FE ..., but certainly you cannot get it for $49 .
I got one for $99.xx out of the store last December..
many phones nowadays has eSIM

I guess $49 + plan + tax will come to that. Still lower than razr!

Does razr provide android update like Samsung flagship phones?

Ah, that tablet (Samsung A7 lite) is not slow at all.

My posters (including me) gave information on how to make it faster (I know it won't become Apple iPad speed).
I can not find it in this thread, can you post again, please?

I have an existing Consumer Cellular that I use as a back up number. I hate CC so I want to port out my number in the next two weeks to a new carrier. I want to keep my monthly cost under $20 though (currently CC is $24 after fees but I've effectively had it for $5 due to stacking some credit card offers).
Anyway, I don't actually need a new phone, but I like the option of reselling the phone once it is unlocked or upgrading my current back up iPhone 7+ before the battery completely dies.
After the recent price hike, is this deal still worth it for a first time customer, or should I wait for a better deal to return? Thanks

I doubt that you'll get any refund from Metro for the poor SERVICE. Their policy https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/s...urn-policy [metrobyt-mobile.com] says "There are no returns, refunds, or credits for prepaid service fees, monthly service, application download, add-ons and other fees". At most, they might offer you some free service days to make up for the days when your phone couldn't receive incoming calls/texts.
FYI, not sure who TD my reply to you, but I was right. They offered $20 credit. Also, I learned through this that if you open an official complaint, it's T-Mobile that responds as Metro's parent company.

$20 service credit or $20 refund to your credit card?

I'm waiting for them to clarify that, but I also made it clear that I would only accept refund since I have no intention of using Metro, especially after this whole experience.
