In case folks are wondering, I looked it up and the limit is 27,000 mAh.
You are not allowed to bring it on a commercial flight.
You can't charge a laptop with it.
I mean in one picture it says "Charges 4 Devices Simultaneously" and there are four devices in the picture, and one of the four is a laptop........

Obviously 20W isn't enough but for the average consumer that is an intentionally misleading picture. I work in consumer protection so don't even try and argue it some other way.

I've charged a Macbook with 18W before. It's not a fun experience but it works.
Must be slow. I prefer $30 chargers that output 60-65W, weigh half as much and are allowed on airplanes.

Yes and I prefer $100 chargers that output 140W, that doesn't really mean anything since the point is merely that 18W is possible not that it's desirable. And sometimes it is worth noting what is possible as a final fallback option to have and know in case your primary methods fail or go missing.

Vipon recently had a deal on a similar power bank for $27. I missed out on the deal but used points to lower the price to $30.
It's super heavy duty and has similar specs to this one. Probably made in the same factory.

Just bought one from the last deal on this brand. It's on my desk to be returned to UPS today. Charged til 66% left to find it not working the next day. Charged it and it came to life at 35%, connected phone for it to stop again and die after charging phone for 60 seconds. Returned. No more Romoss for me.

Bought another semi unknown brand as Anker is too expensive now. New one works perfectly, apparently a new brand name of the former Rav Power brand who got kicked off Amazon a couple years ago. 65w charging speed, loving it! Got it down to 9% so far after charging tons of stuff for a few days now. Nice.
I am curious about that unknown former of RP. Let us know. Thanks.

Lipo packs. They "pillow" thats why so many of these bulge up and explode. Some good reviews with pic's on Amazon for the 40k model.

I honestly don't know what this thing is designed for.

If you just want to charge your phone, you want something small and portable (e.g. a 5,000-10,000 mAh). A couple weeks ago I saw a deal when you could buy two of those for $12.

If you want to use it to charge a laptop, a 65W, 27,000 mAh power bank is more practical: less than half the weight, allowed on airplanes and there are good ones that go on sale for $30 regularly. (I have the INIU 65W 27,000 mAh one that I got for $29.99, and it's great for charging laptops.) This one is just weird.
I have different power banks for different usages. Right now, I'm using one of my 27,000 mAh travel power banks to recharge my iPad Mini as I'm watching TV in my living room. Have to recharge the bank every couple days, so this will increase the amount of time between recharges considerably. Size and weight are not an issue because I store it inside the coffee table, and just pull out the cable. $35 is a bargain, too.

ive never had a problem with my 30k. it is technically over the limit but literally no one has ever cared. ymmv as this is anecdotal, and every time i do it i accept the risk that it might be confiscated... idk that id be as confident with this thing.

personally though, the real reason i have 2x 30k's is just because i find them to be at least slightly portable. obv way too big for a pocket, but when traveling, it is much more reasonable to leave one at the hotel and take the other one with me in a bag. it is slightly annoyingly heavy but not terrible. i can recharge my phone and my gf's and easily have leftover. get back to base and charge it overnight. a 60k, i would never carry along. although im still tempted to get this for use at our offgrid cabin to help avoid overtaxing our solar setup.
I have travelled a lot to Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea) and Europe (Italy, Germany) and done an extensive amount of domestic air travel within the US (1k for United for a couple years). I have a 20000Mah battery (that has a larger form) and the Asian countries scrutinize a lot harder than most other countries. I have been stopped at Newark before because of the battery, and have been stopped in Chicago as well, so while the chances are low, it would suck immensely to lose a 30k battery at a security checkpoint randomly.

Mine just arrived. It's big, very well packaged and came with a small USB-A to USB-C cable. It had an 80% charge and so far 30 minutes on a Google PD 30 watt fast charger has increased it 5% to 85%

Most of these power banks are not as advertised. Just be sure to read reviews of folks that actually measured the output and deterioration.

If you deface the label and tell tsa that it's 27000 only and show tests of it?

I own a much better INIU 65W 27,000mAh power bank that cost me $29.99. It's less than half the size of this beast (and 3x the Wattage). TSA stopped me with it, and wouldn't let me through until I showed them the spec on the label. They know how big a 27,000 mAh power bank is. This is what they do all day.
