This is a no-brainer deal for anyone wanting to get an Atmos system. I got this last year and I have never gone above volume 20 in my apartment 🤣...try top gun maverick with it and you'll see that the hype is not exaggerated.

I still pulled the trigger anyway.... my 85" QN90B has been waiting to be paired up with something reasonable. Based on what I've read (not officially heard in person) - these are quite worth the money at this particular price point. Also excited to see how well Q-Symphony works.

No HDMI 2.1, and there's no 4K 120hz passthrough. Only 1080P and 120, or 4K 60hz. Seems like a handicap for Xbox/PS5 users, especially given the price.

The 990D solves these issues with HDMI 2.1. lt will be discounted (EPP) soon after they run out of the 990c inventory

Bummer that the bar is so damn wide at almost 50 inches. They're stretching the whole point of a sound bar in comparison to a proper speaker system with authentic separation. And they just launched a 35-inch wide model but it's severely handicapped with almost none of these features. Samsung needs to find a happy medium.

I'm an noob. Why does this matter? I have ps5 hooked up to tv and tv hooked to bar and it sounds good?

Do you think that will be a year from now, or maybe sooner?

I have an LGSN9Y, and it's utterly underwhelming. Better than TV speakers, but having come from a dedicated received a speaker system, it's significantly inferior. Don't expect an all-in-one to be able to match a proper system, but the rear satellites on the 990 would go a long way.
