The camera hardware in 3/3pro/4pro is all the same.
Mini 2se vs Mini 3

Batteries, I have one extra, was open box (new) $50.
When I had the 3pro with 3 batteries, I found out 2 batteries is my real need. My third battery was collecting dust.
I currently use this Mini 3 bundle.

Interesting story
Hmm. Are cameras the same? can't remember but I think user 1st page suggested so.
If so, probably not worth the upgrade at that price.

Thinking of this as my first one too. Should I get it? Worth?
i wouldn't want to spend another $300 just to be able to track objects while in flight.
i actually flew mine yesterday for the second time and almost lost it when it flew out of sight when i pressed RH (return to home) and instead it flew really high up and away.
I could not see it and canceling RH manually didn't work for some reason. So, I'm like here went my $349 (tax not included). there was a huge open area with small river/creek, high grass with bluebonnets and people making family pics in bluebonnets. Beautiful. I kinda panicked, but then started to see option on the controller. And found one - track my drone via GPS. So, imagine the dude running through bluebonnets like crazy. Found it. It was deep in the grass. Happy ending lol. So, yeah. Why would you want to spend $700+ (pro model) for something you can loose this way? Learn to fly on the cheapest thing, which is almost perfect compared to the pro version. Peace.

Without knowing all your details, commonly this is maybe what happened based on what you wrote without reviewing your logs. When you press RTH, the drone will climb up high so the return flight can overfly any obstacles closer to the ground. This may look like the drone is "flying away" but instead it could go very high first....and then come home. So where's home? That's where the drone took off from. As long as you established a home point which means you wait for a GPS lock, the drone will come back "home" when RTH is triggered. If you don't wait and you fly off and later while flying, a lock is established then your home point can be somewhere else far away. Also wait for full GPS lock and when you heard "home point has been established." Check it on the map.
If you hit the button and you trigger RTH and then you see your drone "fly away", hitting the button a second time will likely cancel the RTH and the drone will stop and hover. Normally that means the battery draining to near empty and the drone coming home anyway or the drone will land in place. You should check your flight logs to see what really happened. And you should also practice RTH in a small open field with your drone within sight and get use to this powerful feature and how it works and what to expect and which will save your drone many times down the road. RTH is essential to a working drone and practicing will help with the panic which even I still get sometimes.
