Get informed of a leak in your home from anywhere in the world. Pair with a smart water valve to shut off your water valve automatically in seconds when a leak is detected. Most people underestimate the amount of sensors they need: put them underneath all sinks, behind toilets, water tanks, behind fridge, under dishwasher, under jacuzzi. It can also be put on the first shelf of the fridge when upper freezer leaks.

With coupon code SPLASH-CAD:
1x Wi-Fi Hub + 4 Sensors $44
1x Wif-Fi Hub +6 Sensors $70.39
3 Sensors $44
5 Sensors $44

I've never seen such low pricing on the v2. The 5 sensor pack is listed at the same price as the 3 sensor pack (seems like a pricing error). The page mentions it expires in 36 hours (midnight April 3, PST).

The coupon codes known to work with Govee:
TAKE5 $5 off
BOOM 10% off
SPLASH-CAD 12% off

Product Details:
  • This water leak detector is equipped with 2 top sensor probes and 4 bottom sensor probes to detect water leaks and drips. When a water leak occurs, it will activate an alarm up to100dB.
  • App & Email Real-time Alerts when a leak is detected
  • Voice Assistant Reminder via Amazon Alexa
  • Connect up to 100 sensors
  • 1/4 mile Range
  • IP66 Waterproof

These are the Govee coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:

SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc)
BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products)
TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)

Get informed of a leak in your home from anywhere in the world. Pair with a smart water valve to shut off your water valve automatically in seconds when a leak is detected.

Best deal combination is Hub+4+5+5. See this post.

Most people underestimate the amount of sensors they need: put them underneath all sinks, behind toilets, water tanks, behind fridge, under dishwasher, under indoor HVAC and AC unit, under jacuzzi. It can also be put on the first shelf of the fridge when upper freezer leaks. Even a small condo can easily use up 8 sensors alone.

- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international
- This is the v2, not the v1. The main difference is that the range is 5-10x longer. Both support Google Assistant.
- The warranty experience is way better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. It means you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click, and no phone calls or hassle.
- Check with your insurance as they often give substantial discounts for leak sensors and automatic water shutoff valves.

Your comment cannot be blank.

Check with your insurance if they give you a discount. In the Moen valve thread someone noted that their insurance paid for theirs; I checked with mine (Hanover) an they offer $150 discount if you have auto shutoff and $75 discount if you just have sensors. By that time I'd already had them more than a year, but that $75 more than made up for what I paid for 8 sensors + hub,.
Pair these with this water shut off valve to turn the main water line off when water is detected. I did this and it works great.

Govee connect to the Govee Home app
The water shut off connects to the Smart Life app
To allow them to connect together you will need an account with IFTTT.com. They have an applet there that will allow the sensor to trigger the shut off valve to close upon water detection.

The Govee sensors seem to required the Govee Home app to work, I would prefer to have Home Assistant or the Smart Life app control the shut off valve but I haven't yet figured that out yet.

What kind of battery does this use? What's the battery life like? Previous version of stuff like these had really short battery life.

Only 2 year battery life, but AAAs so easy replacements.

Do you need a screw driver to remove the battery cover? The previous version will beep when running out of battery, and you'd need a screw driver to open it up and remove the battery, and the battery only lasted 4 months. PITA.

That was a defective sensor you had. My v1 sensors are still going strong after 1.5 year. I had one that was beeping like yours after a few months and they sent me a free replacement. Initiate a replacement request through the Govee app if you bought it directly through Govee.

Is there any other non-water sensor that can be used with the H5043 gateway?

Saw this deal come around last time... I didn't buy on it because the deal came around 2 months after I had a kitchen sink leak that f'd up my finished basement ceiling. "Ehh, about 2 months too late! Probably would've saved me quite a bit of time & money! But now that the leak is fixed, it should be good from here on out."
And last month or so, that same leak came back. And same water damage AGAIN to my basement ceiling. 🤬
This time, I'm going to guarantee it won't leak again solely because I'm buying these sensors.
The leak came from your kitchen sink again?

I've seen comments in other threads saying that it functioned like a bluetooth hub for all the bluetooth devices like hygrometers.

Yeah I'd like to know too. I'm planning on installing a new kitchen sink next week and i'd like to know what to look out for, to make sure it's done properly!

dont want to hijack thread but any recommendation on smart valve or smart spanner to shut off main water supply to the home incase leak is detected ? external smart spanner would be better. wrt smart valve, i m not sure my condo association will stop the water supply to my line to get new valve installed.

First of all, if you're in a condo and your main water valve needs to be replaced, it means that your condo building will have to turn off water to the whole building. And yes- they will agree to do it, it's in their interest to make sure that everyone has a working water valve to avoid leaks. There is no safe way to replace a water main without turning off the water supply first.

Second, all Govee water sensors work with Google Assistant and IFTTT. Just buy any smart valve control that will push/pull the lever open and closed on command. I like the Econet Bulldog.

I'm always on the lookout for gadgets like this but it seems everything I have runs on 2.4 ghz. I'm hesitant to buy new stuff because I wonder how long it will be before the 2.4 ghz band is phased out forcing me to buy new equipment? I have a WiFi 6E mesh router so that will be good for a while. Thanks!

This govee set or the one from Yolink that comes to the same price with coupon? I thought I read many prefer the Yolink but honestly don't know which to get. Thanks

I recently returned the first version due to it not staying connected to my WiFi. Should I gamble with this one?

our condos have separate meters for each unit, maintained by the water company. they have two cutoffs, right before and after the meter, user accessible . You can cut those off, replace the main cutoff up in the unit, and turn it back on, without any impact to any of the other units. Bigger operations like the county replacing the meters would require the building to be briefly shut off.
