Get informed of a leak in your home from anywhere in the world. Pair with a smart water valve to shut off your water valve automatically in seconds when a leak is detected. Most people underestimate the amount of sensors they need: put them underneath all sinks, behind toilets, water tanks, behind fridge, under dishwasher, under jacuzzi. It can also be put on the first shelf of the fridge when upper freezer leaks.

I've never seen such low pricing on the v2. The 5 sensor pack is listed at the same price as the 3 sensor pack (seems like a pricing error). The page mentions it expires in 36 hours (midnight April 3, PST).

Govee connect to the Govee Home app
The water shut off connects to the Smart Life app
To allow them to connect together you will need an account with IFTTT.com. They have an applet there that will allow the sensor to trigger the shut off valve to close upon water detection.
The Govee sensors seem to required the Govee Home app to work, I would prefer to have Home Assistant or the Smart Life app control the shut off valve but I haven't yet figured that out yet.

Right now, it's not worth it for IOT type devices to be on 5Ghz as it costs more and IOT doesn't need the bandwidth nor the shorter range...

I would say give it a shot. My V1 works great, as do many other people's. My guess would be that your issues may be more due to your router (especially if you have a typically-crappy ISP-provided one). How far away was the base from the router? Clear Line-of-Sight? Are you in a busy wifi area (dense housing, etc)?
Wasn't my router. I have other items on it with no issues. I am an IT professional so I gave it my best shot but the thing would disconnect after 20 minutes every time I tried. Judging by Amazon reviews it's probably something with the devices but maybe I'll try this again.

Pair them again is the answer. Easy enough to press the button and trigger the pairing to change the name.

Yolink is much better product , it has a better range, if you pair D2D device to device, you are not dependent on internet for them to communicate via hub. Take a look at there auto shut off valve as well. The key and ultimate solution is to eventually install auto shutoff valve if leak is detected. The problem is if you are away from home , even the leaks detects you can't do much so having shut off valve is a key.
