The best price I could find for a Wifi 6 Router.

QA note: Shipping NLA. YMMV for "Buy in-store" purchase.

If you have ATT fiber, their standard (Cisco) brouter works very well.

Used to have to shop on these wifi gateways about every year, but the ATT box delivers near line speed, up and down.

That and MoCA's took care of all connectivity, thanks to SD knowledge sharing!

can anyone comment about managing the device? why does it sound like if you want to manage at the granular level with app, you need to pay the NETGEAR SUBSCRIPTION?!!?

You may need a subscription for the app, I don't know, but you can manage as normal through the webpage without a subscription. They try to convince you not to when you log in at first, but just keep telling them you are sure you don't want their dumb app and you can get to all the settings.

I have att fiber as well and using their standard router, but the range isn't sufficient to cover one side of the house. Any suggestions on extending the range? Thanks!

Thanks, I will look into it again and see if they have updated anything. Last time when I checked, it only listed 1 Arris modem that's compatible with my internet speed
There usually is a BYOM section and it should list easily at least 10 modems. If your not getting super fast speeds even getting a used modem of ebay is fine as long as the mac is not banned. Can find a lot of modems for cheap on Ebay and local marketplaces. If someone already had the modem on their account, just need to tell the tech its your now and they need to transfer it to your account.

Only reason I went back to comcast equipment was the plan I had included it and without it I would have a data cap... Was cheaper to go with their equipment than pay the extra fee for no data cap.

I don't think these routers are a big upgrade over AC routers which can be found for really cheap nowadays and can be flashed with third party firmware. I got a Netgear R6400 for $10 a while back ago. Afaik, these wifi 6 routers aren't supported by OpenWRT, DD-WRT, or Fresh Tomato.

I've been running this for almost two years and have no problem. I've only had to restart it once.

Good to know about the data cap. Let me check if there is a cap for me as well.

Netgear is fine until you have a problem with their product and 90 days have passed. They won't even talk to you, offer you a warranty repair or replacement until you pay them for a service plan. So their claim of 1 or 2 year warranties is a lie. Their products come with 90 day warranties. I personally can't do business with people like that. So keep that in mind.

I don't think it matters on the local ISP since that's the uplink speed.

6E is for local devices (laptop)'s chip set connecting to your home router. It supposed to give you more extended range at home/office.

If you are referring to total bandwidth, I will never hit the Wifi 6E top speed since my ISP is just 300Mbs (tried Gig but it was a waste of money) so I went to 300Mbs FIOS for only $25 a month while GigE FIOS was $75+.

I think I'm actually using Wifi 5 at home because my nighthawk at home is probably 5 years old and still runs ok.

Setting up a new home office for someone, thinking about going to 6 for sure but was gonna just get 6E (assuming newer devices but most 2+ year old devices will be on Wifi 5 only I think. I am not 100% certain on the chipsets on 2+ year old computers.

Wifi 6 def makes a difference, I've had Wifi 6 router that works and gives me old Air (wifi 6) 70mbs download while a normal wifi 5 router can only achieve 10mbs)

This is on Walmart and not netgear. Its not suppose to be on the router page. It does support VOIP though so not sure why the op was acting like it was neferious.
