This is a common sale price (check SD history for "paver" and you'll see).

Note, these are "overlay pavers", which require a concrete pad as a base according to installation instructions.

My guess is without concrete as a base, they will break. Even with concrete as a base, lots of reviews complain of them chipping and cracking, so replacing them is an ongoing problem.

Unless someone can correct me on the above details, I'd pass.
mine are on a quickndirty sand/clay base - no problems for two years.

also as caps on concrete/cinder blocks aroumd my vegetable garden - no problems.
This would be one thing that has no impact on inflation: it has the same price as five years ago.

I bought these when they were this price around 2 years ago (probably more).
I dug out dirt then put down paver sand (less than recommended). It's holding strong.

Pavers are usually not the expensive part, it's the installation if you hire someone, or assuming you can actually DIY properly and renting the tools etc.. Especially cutting.
Also check Nicolock pavers as well I understand those are very durable.

Yep! Bought it at this price and made a patio over sand base five years ago. I pressure wash it every spring. Still looking good.

One of my 25-cent Home Depot pave bricks accidentally fell into my swimming pool last autumn and stayed there for all winter. I just got a water analysis report that shows my pool has high levels of copper.

Home Depot has paver step 1 and step 2 leveling sand 0.5cf bags for $4.5-$6 vs 1000lb masonry sand for $33. To get an equivalent amount of masonry sand I'd prob have to spend about $180 vs $33. Anyone know if masonry sand for a faction of the cost, work?

Bought 900 last $0.25 sale with military discount added discount and good pavers. No concrete base needed unless you're driving over then. I'm surprised they can sell them at this price considering transportation cost with diesel prices the way they are.

I'm tempted to build raised garden beds out of these. Definitely not what they're made for. Odds I could get it to work?

Cheap and dispensable.
Could be useful for home protection, against thieves or porch pirates
