Internet connection and Xbox Live Gold are two different things
Yes, I'm quite aware of that.
My quote simply covered the facts that if a person wants to play it completely offline solo, requiring no Live Gold or internet connection at all, they can.
disappointing to hear the not great reviews here. was hopeful for this game based on other arkham games. Does this one have a lot of DLC? Maybe wait for a $10 'Definite' version?
It was actually patched up pretty good bug wise after launch. From what I read it is a pretty good time if you don't go in expecting an Arkham game from the past. It's nothing that is going to knock your socks off but if you know what to expect going in it could surprise you. Not sure I would listen to the guy quoting IGN numbers and asking if you need Xbox Live Gold(which doesn't exist) to play it. I got it for $7.50 when GameStop was going crazy with the deals a few months back and it sits in my backlog so I can't give you my personal experience with it but…
Is this worth ten bucks? I have walmart cash, but I can get a ten dollar rock band ten shirt for ten bucks.
Imma be honest. As someone who genuinely loves the Arkham games, even Origins (which I think is criminally underrated and one of the better stories in the Arkham-verse), this game was absolute crap. I tried playing it thinking that the reviews were heavily exaggerated and people were just mad it wasn't a 120 framerates type game…. Surely the people who made Arkham Origins would make a stellar game with the BatFamily… But nope. Horrible game. I played the first 30 mins of the game and found it to be absolutely terrible, esp the gameplay. Never played it again. Thankfully, I only paid $10 for it too. But I'd personally love that $10 back lol

I don't really know anybody who calls it "Xbox game pass core" so I just continue calling it Xbox live gold.
The reason I asked about if it needs the paid membership is because there's a stupid amount of games that require it, when they are literally single player.
And I didn't just say IGN score, the game got bad press and bad reputation across the board from many many people.

I would say yes, it's worth $10. I spent 5 hours in it. But the bigger question is, is it worth your time, the answer is no. Your opportunity cost of your time is too high, also, think about the fact there are so many other better games that cost $10 or less.

Those other games are on my self still in there wraps.

Live Gold only being required if you want to play with others, as all other online MP/Co-Op games do.
