Motherboard is a weird shape that fits exactly for case and external ports. PSU has very specific length cables that reach exactly to their intended connections without much slack, which creates a nice clean build, and there are no extra power connectors. If you want to reuse the PSU in a different case, it probably would involve extension cables and splitters.
Video card, CPU, cooler, fans, memory, NVME, WIFI card are standard components.
Does shipping date matter, or does the posting date matter? Unless the fine print says shipping date, it'd be posting date.
Dell charges the card when the desktop ships out; I do have a "pending charge", for the full amount, on my card, but the charge will only post when Dell ships it out. That's my concern with the Amex offer. I did receive the confirmation email from Amex though.
Oh fair enough. Maybe look at the print to see if it matter on transaction date vs posting date. Best of luck!

This is from the fine print: "Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 4/26/2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. This depends on Amex's approach. If they honor the posting date of 4/23/2024, that would be a happy outcome. It looks like we are in the same boat ..

I don't think it's possible for my customization because Dell is estimating earliest ship date of May 23rd. Good luck to you and anyone else trying to get this deal!

Mine shipped out today (label created yesterday), but I still don't see the final charge on my card, it's still "pending". In my Dell account it's listed as "scheduled". Per the terms, I think that the conditions for redeeming the offer have been met, but I'll have to wait to see the actual credit.

This will likely sellout at this price (it's on clearance). If there is a price drop, it won't be significant. The current spec is has high storage and the highest ram offered for this model. The next sale might be cheaper but it could also have different specs such as lower ram, storage, graphics card.
