These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:
SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc) BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products) TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)
So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:
- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.
- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.
Looks like a good deal off of the msrp. Though I don't see why these are so expensive anyway. The effect doesn't look that much better than their RBIC led lighting. What am I missing here?

I love this idea however i dont like that the lights are sticking out i want something more low key
I tend to agree with you. the specs on amazon say these are almost 8" although these specs don't seem right to me. 7.87 x 6.3 x 7.09 inches, they do not look cube shaped, they look more flat.

could be a different model or spec ? idk i dont want to risk it .... only if it was amazon then i would consider as its easy to return the item there
Govee is absolutely flooding the market with their knockoff cheapy products. Just say no.
Hunh? As far as I can tell govee is leading in this app-controlled LED lighting trend and the other brands are the ones just copying what they are doing.

I've picked up 5 or 6 different Govee products over the last 6 months, and I am more than satisfied with all of them. I was a Hue guy, but it just got too expensive to keep buying their products. The only real difference I've noticed between the two brands is that Hue is definitely more controllable while on an outside network than Govee is as some of their products seem to be only connected via Bluetooth.
Definitely wait for sale prices though. I haven't paid MSRP for anything Govee.

Agreed. I have a bunch of Govee stuff and the M1 lights are amazing. I couldn't find a competitor that could offer the same or better as the M1.
Is it me or do the Govee prices include a "gamer" premium? They started as RGB extensions for gamers and now are targeting mass-market but there are other cheaper light strips out there (eg Kasa).
Do these have an insane warranty? Do they support Matter? I'm not interested in having a separate app to control some lights. What am I missing?
