Nature made has some of the worst forms of vitamins with the worst ingredients. Some of these cheap synthetics, like cyanocobalamin and folic acid can actually make so many problems worse.

If health is your goal, please please please consider a brand like Doctor's Best. It's an affordable brand that puts lots of effort into sourcing quality, bioavailable ingredients.

Why would someone take more of one single vitamin rather then a multi vitamin route?

Vitamin deficiency for a specific vitamin is one reason. Another could be the form of the vitamin itself and amount per capsule etc.

I like natures bounty for several of my b vitamins regiment. They seem to have less harmful additives in general, but sometimes throw a curve ball at you so still need to pay attention. When possible, I buy pure powdered supplements and weigh them out because they generally have no additives and they are way cheaper than pills.

Doc tells me I am very very low on B12. Are these a good way to improve my B12?

I tried doctor's best but can't recall the price. They seem to have a decent reputation overall but now I've switched to just eating natto off and on. Natto is definitely not for everyone but probably one of the best sources for your K2 RDA.

Possibly. Only taking them and getting blood work done would prove it to you but they work for a lot of people. Personally I had issues with B12 supplements but I'm probably in the minority or wasn't deficient to begin with. Now I just eat oysters once or twice a week and they have loads of zinc, B12, etc for most people's needs. Check with your doctor about these possible options. They can even inject you with it if you're severely deficient at a clinic.

Yes! My B12 levels were very low. Started taking 1000 mcg daily and my levels definitely increased to normal ranges. Was taking 1 pill per day, now I'm down to 3-4 pills per week. Blood work was done to verify my B12 levels.
