No, this is still the KSMPSA model, just get the KPRA model from Amazon it will last!
It's most likely that its made in China. Get it and open it up, if there's plastic housing inside you should return it.
Amazon reviews still say the KPRA model has plastic gears. https://a.co/d/4crkESH
Annoyingly I just took it out of the cupboard to pack it and the plastic scrapers on the bottom that make sure the dough doesn't just wrap around the roller are both cracked in multiple places. This happened just through age rather than misuse. The whole unit is riveted together so of course these are impossible to replace.
