Description from Fender.com [fender.com]:
The JV Modified Series combines classic aesthetics with modern playability to suit the needs of today's guitarist. Taking cues from the now highly sought-after "Japanese Vintage" reissues from the early '80s, JV Modified guitars are a refined take on a modern classic.
The '50s Stratocaster HSS has a resonant basswood body and features a pair of vintage-voiced single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions and a powerful humbucking pickup in the bridge position. A push-pull pot on Tone 2 splits the humbucking pickup for sparkling single-coil sounds, making this Strat extremely versatile. The Soft "V"-shaped maple neck has a silky-smooth satin finish and the 9.5" radius maple fingerboard and medium jumbo frets provide effortless playability.
For the player seeking classic Fender instruments with a twist, the JV Modified Series delivers a unique combination of vintage Fender style and modern playability.

I may just be a MIJ guitar fanboy, so take my opinion for what you will but I also own American Fender.

Every model is U shape neck.
Every model has the same pickups.
But they get A+ for offering artist models and paint jobs that are 100% unique.
Occasionally they'll use USA pickups on some models but most of the time, not.

For sure. The entire FGW site could be posted because they have good prices, if you are OK with used, refurb, and B-stock items. I thought the point of a deal site is rarer deals on new items. If the OP would use the FGW image (with the wood background), I would skip these posts no problem. Cheers.
I've had it in mine for a month now and got an offer yesterday, but I'm still on the fence about vintage features like 6 points trem and 9.5 radius.

Having said all that .. I have this guitar and like others said .. meh (Sterile no personality "Joint Venture" guitar) so its not Japanese or American. I'll sell mine literally brand new for 700 but holding on as an investment. My mim pplus with fat boys has the most character and I have had them all all they way up to the luxes.
The pups on this JV have nothing to offer, In my opinion even worse than the hot noiseless. Heck I would rank them less than the texas specials sub 100.
