I would recommend finding a good deal on an i5 12600k. Would pair nice and likely the best bang for the buck regarding 4k htpc connection.

It's got a slot for m.2 wifi and the IO Plate has wifi holes. You can probably buy this - https://www.amazon.com/AX210NGW-S...088NHCX46/ but at that point you might as well purchase a B760 with wifi?

Yeah that's my same thought - if you need WiFi then might as well spend a bit more on another board that includes it. Depends on the use case I suppose though - I have a home server and a couple of HTPCs that are hard wired.

Only reason why I could see this as a "benefit" is because oftentimes boards come with crappy wifi so you'd end up changing the chip out anyway.
They do have the B760M Riptide WiFi for $130, so its essentially the same thing, but black Smilie

Hmm trying to decide if it's worth getting the MSI project 0 matx board for $100 more. I was assuming I was going to spend $150 on a motherboard. $50 seemed worth it. $100 I'm not so sure...

Good board but bummer it's a Realtek NIC. I've had so many issues with non Intel NICs in Proxmox. I don't want to buy a network card due to costs and additional power consumption so best to avoid the headache and just go with an Intel NIC.

Why is there a rumor that somehow ALL DDR5 motherboards have some unfixable error, where no matter what model the ram will not work right if you put 4 ram sticks for example 128gb ram with 4 sticks will not run "correctly" and your better off with 2x64gb sticks. Why is this rumor so prevalent ?

In the old days, Asrock often used to use Intel on-board NICs. I have a couple of their older boards with Intel NICs, but they don't seem to do that anymore.
