I have replaced the exact Microwave with a proper vent hood. Suction power of this microwave is not good at all. It ruined the cabinets around my stove. If there is no space to keep over the counter microwave, go with a microhood with good CFM.

Don't know if they have these at Lowe's or if HD does the same in Florida, but at Lowe's when you buy microwave and installation at the same time, they don't charge sales tax on either. Don't know how that works but saved me $35 in taxes that I put towards the installation.

Got a similar Whirlpool a few years back. It's extremely noisy and doesn't draw as much air. I saw that an older GE was way quiet and more powerful too. Also, all door safety switches went bad in 3-4 years and everything inside was soaked in oil. Never again!

The door handle is anchored by plastic that deteriorated overtime. The entire door has to be replaced

If you have the space, I highly recommend separate exhaust and microwave similar to this:

All the heat, grease buildup from cooking will just destroy the over the range microwave.

FYI... the lcd panels go bad after a short time.

I think i'm not the only one when i looked it up (got mine from costco, but the flickering led light is not worth the hassle to me to return)
