Do yourself a favor and get it from Walmart on sale. $12 for a 3 year warranty so you can exchange it anytime you want (and stick drift sets in quick with my death grip). Highly recommend.

I've had two series 1 controllers and two series 2 controllers. All failed eventually in some way. The last one I had bought from Costco and they kindly gave me all my money back when Microsoft refused to do anything at the thirteen month mark. I bought a DualSense Edge instead and that's been working great for about fifteen months now. If you buy this controller, I highly recommend an extended warranty with it.

Everytime these deals come up I mention if anyone is getting this you better get a warranty. Something on it WILL break at some point. The controller is such a a great feeling control and I love the paddles but buttons will become unresponsive. My RB button only works 50% of the time and I mapped it to a back paddle for the last 2 years

use Amazon to price match other stores with warranty plans... Think people, think.
What the heck are you talking about. This is the price at verizon, not amazon. Feel free to pricematch the higher amazon price with bestbuy etc. brilliant

I don't think he was being sarcastic.

Does anyone know how much the extended warranty is?

Your ability to follow people's questions and answers, to your specific question in your head is lacking. Try to read.

Verizon offers no warranty options, Amazon or Best buy do. My solution is for people who don't mind paying a few bucks more for the peace of mind of an extended warranty.

Does that make sense? Or do we need a YouTube video to explain what warranties are too!?

Can't we just add and buy with Microsoft once we receive this?

I feel like i should do my part and warn against this awful controller. Ive been through 8 series 2 controllers and had them fail at every point. Thumb sticks, face buttons, bumpers all made of fiberglass I guess cause they dont last or even come defective. I am gentle with and take care of my stuff but this controller is just made with the cheapest components. Everything about the design, ergonomics, and anything except internal quality is amazing but honestly just avoid it if you dont want to deal with constant headaches.

Good luck …and carry on paying more.

Edit - i believe that bestbuy stopped price matching due to the HUGE number of slickdealers wanting to pay more AND buying an extra warranty. Sorry i tried paying more but it didnt work. Thx for your insight. I am now off to chat to comcast to see if i can increase my cable tv bill…..

yes. But like like the idea of paying more by pricematching a higher price from amazon at bestbuy.

Not unless you buy it from Microsoft, as I pointed out in a previous point

Great deal, got it, thank you
These are literally $115 on Microsoft's website as of the time of me writing this. "Great" is a bit of a stretch.

I'm not sure what your problem is but I just did this through Microsoft last time Verizon had a deal like this. I registered it and was able to call Microsoft and add it at that time. Had a little issue because initially MS said my controller was already out of original warranty when I purchased it. I just had to send them documentation of the receipt and that got squared away and I was able to purchase the extended warranty. They also mentioned I could take it into a Best Buy with a geek squad and receipt to get it physically inspected and purchase there in person.

Sorry if they don't do this anymore, they did not too long ago.

Do you keep getting warranty replacements or buying them? If the latter, why?

Plugged in via USB or wireless with the Xbox wireless dongle there is no lag on PC. Only over Bluetooth connection, which is a worse connection anyway for many reasons. Sony has lower BT input lag, but is known for missing entire button inputs which is even worse for a competitive game.

If you don't care that the controller is wireless, plug it in, if it needs to be wireless, you need the dongle.
Trust me I would notice if there were issues. You HAVE TO USE BT 5.2 to use the ps5 controller on pc. If you use bt4 it is very laggy and has the issues you said. I got a bt5.2 WiFi card and the controller works flawless in cod and never misses inputs. Best controller I have ever had by far (coming from elite 1 and elite 2 for past few years until I switched )

Get a warranty if you buy one, these are notorious for breaking, especially the bumpers. That being said, extra paddles make a world of a difference in any sort of competitive gaming.
