As someone who splits a lot of wood, the price on this axe isn't just the name. It's the weight distribution. I also have their 8lb Isocore maul, since buying the X27 I almost never need the maul except for really unusually gnarly rounds.
The immense amount of leverage you get with the long and super lightweight handle is really satisfying. It splits way better than the weight alone would make you believe. Absolutely worth it at this price, and the warranty is fantastic.
Not quite.. I use mine for chopping down bigger pieces of wood to usable size in the fireplace which is what it's intended for. To get rid of stumps, cut down some lines in the stump (I use a chainsaw) in both directions so it looks like little squares.. then I pack it with a little fire starter and burn it… if you're feeling lazy, just make a big X but that'll take longer to burn.. make sure you have safety in mind and secure the area around it prior and put it out when you're not there to watch it.
Amazing axe someone stole mine of my off road rig. One time I forgot to lock the axe and shovel. About what I paid for it last time so thanks for posting.
I didn't steal it, I just moved it across the road, you should have checked the other side of street

Never used this one but I have a husky one from Home Depot that is rubbish compared to the Fiskars.

Try using Google or going to ace website.
I see it only at Ace with 7 reviews. I wonder what's the difference from the "new" version
