I always buy the generic ones. You can get 2 for the price of one of these
As somebody who's used both a lot, I'm still not sure. I've used generic ones a bunch, and they're usually good enough. It seems like the brand-name ones are a little higher quality and fit a little better in the machine. If you have allergies probably stick with the brand name. If you just want to reduce dust and fur, generic is probably perfectly fine.
They got criticized by Dyson for false advertising. To be fair they are not the only ones that had to take it down.
I remember seeing some data that their filters meet an older HEPA specification, but not compliant with modern HEPA compliance. This means it likely exceeds a MERV 13 to a decent degree, but to what degree they just decided to not advertise.

wow this is slightly cheaper than the deal I got from last year's black friday directly from VeSync. I got around $20.xx per filter for Core 300. Bought 6 of them total. Should be good for 36 months.

How good are the generic ones compared to the originals?

I like the pet allergy yellow filter better. Wish that one would've been on sale 😕
