The 2022 S95B was first gen QD-OLED & had a super thin panel that bent very easily. Therefore I would never recommend buying that version used.

This is a 2023 model & they supposedly reinforced the panel, but take a look at how thin it still is. You're really rolling the dice when buying one of these used.

This was $1800 new the majority of the time. You could save $400 buying a "excellent" open box. Probably only worth it if it is super easy for you to transport the TV & if you have no problem packing it back up & returning it if something is wrong with it.

When new price for this set dropped to $1800, I jumped on the deal. I've been extremely happy with the PQ. The colors are more vibrant as compared to the LG B and C series sets. I own an LG which is great but QD-Oled is the current king of display technology.

The open box models are sold out in my area. Is the current sale price on a new model good?

Extremely good deal. Many reviewers rated the s90c (which is what this is) as one of the best TVs of last year. The price to performance value is bonkers.

I bought 2 on fair condition, drove more than 2 hours to pick each one of them, both had some kind of stains behind the screen that couldn't be removed, many stains, I had to cancel both pick-ups, don't waste your time on "Fair" condition ones, this were defective not in fair condition.

NO thx, after buying premium tv i am expecting all features to be all there. HD arcana is not cheap and is not proper substitute for this feature. There is much better option to buy LG/SONY Oled.

Having said that LG/Sony dont have HDR 10+, even tho this is betamax of this generation still would have liked tv to support this as it is royalty free so why not. If Samsung adds DV I will be buying Samsung OLED and dump LG as they dont support hdr10+. would love to see OLED which does it all, like Panasonic of europe(they are expensive to import), Vizio oleds had it both but they discontinued oled line.

Nope, you only paid 400 more than my 77" sony oled refurb cost me a year or so ago and I've never regretted it.

Just my two cents but still think it's worth the bit to get S90C directly from Samsung website. I talked to them in chat and the .edu/first responder discount plus 10% loyalty for first purchase discount plus $50 off at checkout meant I got the tv for $1480 out the door. And not the random 89C Best Buy only version that has a potentially different panel per reports.

That must be in the in store price. I'm nearby Leesburg Pike so I might check it out.

I'm seeing $1650 brand new online.

No Dolby Vision is such a bummer I can't believe Samsung is still playing this game

They hold back and people still buy it. These companies have held back for years.

It's not a "bit more" to get it from Samsung, the 77" S90C is $2500 there right now. I assume the one you got for $1480 is the 65".
