What I love about it: battery life (14 hrs easy), lightweight, camera cover
I bought one 10 years ago, paying extra to have it carefully renovated by Geek Squad. Sadly, the last owner locked it and it was unusable. Seemed odd that GS could renovate it when they couldn't turn it on.

It was fine, then suddenly it took 3+ minutes to load and it *never* went past 300MHz, even after a clean Windows install.
Yes, I tried it plugged in. Yes, I tried it unplugged. Yes, it was on the latest firmware, drivers, etc.
The OLED compared to my HP Spectre 13 X360 OLED is clearly inferior. The digitizer layer is very obvious and the resolution is only okay.
Compared to my ASUS Zenbook Q409 OLED (which I would love, except for the infernal 8GB of soldered RAM that grinds everything to a halt.), the screen is clearly, plainly, worse as well.
Really, the only good thing about the screen is that you don't have to enable scaling.
I got a refund from BB for the $750 paid for this model.
586 open box fair condition.

Besides that, you can return to Best Buy, typically within 2 weeks, with or without cause AFAICT. The cashiers are generally happy to have you open and test out open box before you leave the store.
edit - also noticing 2 usb c, 1 usb a, hdmi port, audio. So bravo that it does usb C charging, 1 usb A port is slim if you want to plug in a drive/dongle/ethernet adapter etc.... probably want to look into a usb C hub with ethernet and usb A if you're going to use for work and need to jack in.

EDIT: this is someone's review on the bestbuy website: "The laptop performs well for light gaming, handling most games smoothly at low settings and 1080p. I did have to drop it to 800p for some games and for others I was able to get to Medium settings without too many problems. Control performs particularly well in my testing and was around 60 FPS with medium settings at 1080p. I was able to play Call of Duty MW3 at 60 as well, and Starfield I targeted 30 and was able to achieve that. "
I think that bodes particularly well unless you step up to a dedicated GPU like a G14, but then that laptop is almost 4lbs? what would you recommend instead if you want a thin and light portable laptop that can do casual gaming?

in synthetic benchmarks this handily beats the 780m, isn't that quite a win already, and is double the performance of the older intel Iris Xe igpus
